CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) - What food lover hasn't had a craving for the hot and zesty taste of a kebab? Well today Turkish Cultural Center members Dilyara Celik, Melek Kocak, and Gulen Yesilbag are spicing up the kitchen with their take on a traditional Turkish meal.

Kofte Kebab 
2 lbs of lamb ground meat, med. fat 
1 large onion, finely chopped 
1 egg 
1 teaspoon of sea salt 
½ teaspoon of ground black pepper 
½ teaspoon Cumin 
½ teaspoon Paprika 
½ teaspoon Red flacke pepper 
1/2 bunch parsley, chopped 
1 teaspoon of chopped garlic

Shepherded Salad 
2 med. cucumbers 
3 large tomatoes 
2 medium green bell peppers 
1 bunch green onions 
1/2 bunch parsley, finely chopped 
8 sprigs fresh mint, finely chopped
