Turkish Cultural Center Boston (TCCB) organized the 3rd Annual Turkish Cultural Day at the Massachusetts State House on May 23, 2012. The event was a showcase of rich mosaic Turkish culture and traditions. Congressman Bill Keating, Executive Office of Housing & Economic Development Secretary Gregory Bialecki, Counsel General of Turkey to Boston Murat Lutem, State Senators and Representatives were among the distinguished guests. Turkish Cultural Centers CEO Murat Kaval and New York office program director Nureddin Karaca also attended the event.

The event started with national anthems and a welcome speech by TCCB Board President. The event continued with talks by Congressman Keating,Secretary Bialecki, Counsel General Lutem and host committee member Representative Atkins. TCCB presented a gift to each speaker and the State Representatives in the host committee. Complimentary Turkish food and coffee was served where the participants also enjoyed chatting with Turkish Community members. Taha Calisir performed live music performance with Kanun after which he also performed a live Whirling Dervish ceremony. Calligraphy artist Salih Gocmen offered free name writings to the participants.
